George Cintra

Chief Technology Officer

George Cintra is Chief Technology Officer for EaglePicher® Technologies. George joined EaglePicher in May 2017 and leads all aspects of research and development for new product development and customer product requirements. He leads a multifunctional team of engineers, scientists and chemists throughout EaglePicher’s nine North American sites.

George has more than 25 years of leadership in battery and power systems design, product development and commercialization, technology strategy and manufacturing of primary and secondary batteries.

Prior to joining EaglePicher, George was the executive vice president and chief technology officer at Integer, Inc. (formerly Greatbatch), an innovator and manufacturer of a broad range of medical and industrial products. In this position, he led worldwide research, product development and engineering, as well as program management, and regulatory and clinical affairs. In his career, George also held a variety of leadership positions in technology and product commercialization at Procter & Gamble and Duracell.

George is inventor or co-inventor of thirty-nine patents across a broad range of battery and power source materials and electromechanical product innovations. George earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and completed graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Virginia.
